Lil Wayne
Lil’ Wayne (born on September 27, 1982, in New Orleans, LA as Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.) is an American rapper. He grew up in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans’ 17th Ward.
He formed his first group Hot Boys with Juvenile, Turk, and B.G. at 1997. They released their debut CD Get It How You Live the same year.
In 1999, Lil’ Wayne started his solo career with his first solo album The Block Is Hot. Title track The Block is Hot reached Top Ten hits. Lil Wayne’s second album, (Lights Out) failed to match the success of its predecessor, nor did his third album (500 Degreez).
